Following this year’s success with the study day on Nutritional Management of Gastrointestinal Conditions, the Paediatric Gastro Academy is happy to announce that we will be hosting this study day again in March 2015. As before, we have combined lectures for presentation of clinical evidence with workshops to consider the practical aspects. Areas in which nutritional management is particularly challenging have been considered such as; functional gastrointestinal disorders and colic. We will also discuss the evidence behind specialist feeds for gastrointestinal disorders and this will be followed with workshops on elimination diets and also vitamin and mineral supplementation. Due to the growing interest in the gut-brain-axis we have this year invited an oversees speaker for our state of the art lecture to introduce this topic and demonstrate the impact of specific nutrients on this. We are looking forward to welcoming any healthcare professional dealing with or interested in nutrition in gastrointestinal disorders.
