The Academy of Paediatric Gastroenterology at Great Ormond Street Hospital has teamed up with Kings’ College Allergy Academy again to provide you with a fresh perspective on food allergy management in children. This will be the 5th joint study day addressing practical issues related to food allergies which affect healthcare professionals at all levels.

Food allergy in children is a complex topic with an evolving evidence base. This year,  we have visited some of the more familiar topics like cow’s milk allergy and weaning, which have lead to significant confusion and controversy over the last couple of years. In addition this course will also provide you with practical tools to manage children with food allergies from experts in this field, focusing on the patient’s journey. The course will give you expert tips on the diagnosis of both IgE- and non-IgE allergy, an update on CMPA guidelines and food labelling laws, and provide evidence for the significant difference that dietetic input can have in these patients. Workshops get the experts to put theory into practice by addressing everyday issues of both diagnosis and management of food allergy. This course is ideal for all health professionals working in food allergy, whether new to the field or very familiar with paediatric food allergy, as information is based on latest evidence and presented by experts in the allergy field.
